For visitors

To help you have a positive experience while visiting your loved ones, we offer accessibility resources and thorough information about our various visitation policies.

Visitations at our hospital

Visiting a loved one in the hospital can be stressful, but we want your experience to be as positive as possible. Learn more about our available resources and visitation policies for each department.

Information for our visitors

This information is designed to answer some of the questions our visitors most frequently ask.

Visiting hours at our hospital

We encourage friends and family to see their loved ones while they are in our care. Visitors must check in at the main entrance to receive a badge, which must be worn or visible throughout the duration of the visit.

You must be age 15 and older to visit patients in the intensive care unit (ICU). Exceptions are made for immediate family members.

Our visitation hours are:

  • Monday through Friday, from 6:30am to 8:00pm
  • Weekends and holidays, from 8:00am to 8:00pm

Visitation restrictions

Circumstances may allow for specific exceptions to any visitation restrictions described on this webpage. Those circumstances include religious visitation as well as a designated support person for a patient with a disability to provide assistance with communication or other necessary components of the patient's treatment. All persons entering under an exception remain subject to appropriate infection control protocols.

Individual department policies

It's important to know what department your loved one has been admitted to, as certain ones may have stricter guidelines than others. Check the information below to ensure you are fully prepared for your visit to our hospital.

Emergency department

If your loved one is in the emergency department, they are allowed two visitors throughout their entire stay. If they are then admitted to the hospital, visitors should follow the above-mentioned visitation guidelines.

End-of-life visitations

Special arrangements will be made on a case-by-case basis for end-of-life visitations.

Isolation patient visitation

If you or a loved one require isolation, only one visitor is allowed at a time. Visitors must follow all personal protective equipment protocol.

Labor and delivery

The labor and delivery department allows up to three adult visitors, including your delivery support person, in the labor and delivery suite. The three designated visitors will receive a wristband that must be worn at all times.

Only the support person may remain in the room during delivery and overnight. The remaining two visitors may visit before and after delivery, during normal visiting hours. Visitors may not switch out or exchange wristbands as bands will be registered to the individual.

Siblings may visit the newborn but must be accompanied by one of the three designated visitors.

Non-isolation patients

If you or a loved one do not require isolation, up to two visitors are allowed during your stay.

Outpatient care

Individuals receiving outpatient care may be accompanied by two visitors during their care.

Behavioral health visitors

Our behavioral health visiting hours are as follows:

  • Monday through Friday from 3:30pm to 4:30pm and 6:00pm to 6:30pm
  • Weekends and holidays from 10:00am to 11:00am and 3:30pm to 4:30pm

All behavioral health visitors must provide the patient’s name and corresponding four-digit code.
