HCA Healthcare Colleton Hospital is pleased to welcome Christy Judy as Vice President of Quality, bringing nearly three decades of healthcare leadership experience and a deep connection to HCA Healthcare and the Walterboro community.
Christy began her healthcare career in 1996 and launched her HCA Healthcare career at Colleton Hospital in 2002. Over the next 15 years, she advanced through a variety of clinical and leadership positions, ultimately serving as Director of Emergency Services. During her tenure, she made significant improvements in the emergency department, reducing patient wait times and advancing nationally recognized quality initiatives.
Most recently, Christy served as Senior Director of Performance Improvement for Emergency Services for HCA Healthcare’s North Florida Division, where she led quality and performance initiatives across 15 hospitals and 35 freestanding emergency rooms, impacting more than one million patient encounters annually.
Throughout her career, Christy has provided executive leadership for quality, patient safety, critical care, and hospital operations. She is known for building collaborative, high-reliability cultures focused on transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

As Vice President of Quality, Christy oversees the hospital’s quality, patient safety, accreditation, and performance improvement programs, working closely with physicians, clinical teams, and hospital leaders to enhance patient outcomes and strengthen the overall care experience.
